Indu Sarkar is a Hindi historical political drama directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, set during the period of the Emergency in India (1975–1977). The film follows Indu, a shy and idealistic woman whose life changes dramatically as she witnesses the widespread suppression of civil liberties, political oppression, and social injustice during one of the most controversial chapters in India’s history.
